Hypnotherapy is a powerful and effective treatment which helps you to control unwanted feelings, worries or habits. It involves the use of hypnosis and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) to produce positive change.
Our Master Hypnotherapist will help you to achieve the right state of mind in which your unconscious mind is most likely to respond, encourage you to have a different understanding of the problem and create those changes that are right for you.
Hypnotherapy is often successful when other methods of treatment have failed because it harnesses the power of the unconscious mind.

Hypnotherapy can be used for a wide variety of conditions including
Breaking unwanted habits such as smoking, over-eating, alcohol addiction, nail biting etc.
Overcoming fears and phobias such as fear of flying, heights, spiders to name just a few.
Overcoming depression or anxiety.

Research comparing many different studies of hypnotherapy has shown that on average smokers are over five times more likely to break the habit with hypnosis than by willpower alone. If you have decided that now is the time to stop smoking and you are really committed, then one session of hypnotherapy could be all you need.
- Irritable Bowel OPSIM Treatment (6 sessions over a 22 week period )
Hypnotherapy has been proven, over 15 years of solid scientific research, to be an effective, safe and inexpensive choice for IBS symptom alleviation. 80% of people using it experience positive results and its overwhelming success has prompted Adriane Fugh-Berman M.D., Chair of the National Women's Health Network in Washington DC to state that "Hypnosis should be the treatment of choice for IBS cases which have not responded to conventional therapy".
Our Master Hypnotherapist has been fully trained in the OPSIM treatment method and is a member of the UK Register of IBS Therapists. She is always happy to offer a free, no obligation, consultation to discuss the treatment and answer any questions you may have.

What can I expect to happen?
You can expect to feel extremely safe and at ease with your hypnotherapist. The therapist will discuss your specific needs in an initial consultation and gather important information. The hypnotherapy session itself is a very pleasant, relaxing experience in which your body and mind are relaxed and at peace. The therapist's voice guides you and helps you to use the power of your own mind to make the changes that you want, effortlessly.
Are there any risks or side effects?
Hypnotherapy is completely safe in the hands of a professional and competent hypnotherapist. At all times you are in control of your own thoughts and actions. Unlike some drug-based treatments, there are no harmful side effects.
Could I be made to do something against my will?
No! If you are given a suggestion you feel emotionally and morally comfortable with, you will accept it. If it isn't appropriate to you, you will reject it and immediately come out of trance.
Can I be hypnotised?
Most people can be hypnotised, provided they want to be.
Could I get stuck in a trance?
It is impossible to be trapped in a trance. If circumstances were to interfere with the normal termination of trance, it would happen quite naturally and safely with no ill effects - a bit like coming back from a daydream.
How many sessions will I need?
Appointments last for approximately 1 - 1 ½ hours. You may need only a single session or perhaps 3 or 4 and these can be booked as and when you proceed with the treatment.
A recording of the session on cd is included as part of the package.
What qualifications do you have and are you a member of a professional body?
Our Master Hypnotherapist holds the following qualifications: BSc(hons), PGCE, MCMasterHyp, MCDipHyp, GQHP, Cert Stress Relief and Stress Hypnotherapy. She is a member of the UK Register of IBS Therapists, The British Institute of Hypnotherapy, the Register of IBS Therapists, AAMET and is a Registered Hypnotherapist (GHR). She is happy to be governed by their professional codes of conduct and ethics.
